Reading Work 2019\Danger On Copper Mountain

Hi there,This week we have been learning with Mrs T about the book called Danger on copper mountain.The book was about 3 kids travelling up a mountain and one of the boys Will getting stuck.Mrs T also told us to pick one blooms task from each section.This week the book we have read was really interesting because of its detail.Please leave a positive comment

Dictionary WMYB Zainab




Official - done or said by somebody with authorities\because there aren't any official bus stops

Luggage - holding things for taking on a journey\the supakako helps to load and unload the luggage

Breeze - a wind \Most of the time the windows are kept down,and a cold breeze flows through the bus.

Passengers - a person who is driven or carried in a car,train or aircraft\these  buses takes passengers from the market in town to the wharf,

Uncomfortable - not comfortable\So travelling is uncomfortable enough without a heavy person sitting on you as well.

Ornaments - a decoration\they reflect the personality and taste of the driver,and they might be decorated with ornaments,soft toys and stickers.

Cord - a long thin flexible strip of twisted threads or strands.\when you want to get off,you pull the cord to let the driver know,

Market - a place where things are bought and sold,usually from stalls from the open air\I would go to the market to catch the bus home.

Combinations - a number of things or people that are combined\Samoan buses are painted in bright combinations of colours.

I give this book a rate out of 9 and a half.
I gave it a 9 and a half because i had a lot of detail and it was really interesting and also i would definitely read this book again.

When Ida and May came back they ran home not looking back.they hugged their mum so tight their mum couldn't breathe.When they both stop holding mum they hugged each and said sorry.Ida was crying so hard and tears was falling everywhere.May said “it’s okay we are back home and in our house”said May and it all ended with a huge hug.
